The Branscombe Mental Health Centre also houses Pathstone Mental Health, which provides mental health services and counselling to adolescents and children. The hospital sites are located within a 25 minute drive of the campus. McMaster University and the City of St. Catharines today announced a partnership to establish the McMaster Niagara Family Health Centre. Additional classroom and clinical skills space is located at the Niagara Health System (NHS) hospital sites. Clinical placements are provided in out-patient clinics, private offices in various specialties, the Public Health Unit, the Niagara Health System sites, Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre, and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby. In its continual quest for excellence in research, McMaster has made some remarkable achievements. The School of Medicine, established in 1965 and renamed the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine in 2004, offers major programs in undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate medical education. He anticipates he will be placed at clinics in the West Lincoln area and Hamilton Health Sciences’ West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, as well as at Niagara Health’s St. Catharines site.
