On one hand, no, I don't feel kids owe their parents. The Conners has lowered the curtain on season 2 with the threat of imprisonment hanging over the head of at least one family member. Maybe as an ex of Louise who walks back into her life and causes some tension there before she inevitably gives him the boot and sticks with Dan.
